As a way of marking World Oceans Day on Monday 08 June, the Governor, Deputy Governor and staff headed over to Mimi Bay to give the beach a clean-sweep. A couple of hours was all it took to collect enough trash to fill a huge pile of bags.
World Oceans Day, held every June 8th, is the United Nations-recognized day of ocean celebration and action.
